These beautiful earrings are made from recycled waste paper which is pulped, compressed and coloured. They are finished with a splash of 24ct gold leaf detail and 14ct gold-filled earring hooks. They are solid but feather-light and comfortable to wear. As each pair is completely handmade they are entirely unique.
Gold-filled v gold-plated
Gold-plated is a thin layer of gold applied to a base metal, gold-filled is a thicker layer of gold bonded to a base metal. Gold-filled is more durable than gold-plated as the gold won't wear away and is an affordable alternative to solid gold.
The paper elements in these earrings are sealed to make them water resistant however it is not recommended that they are fully immersed in water. If they are it is best to remove and allow to dry.
